StreetFighter X Tekken

Okay, so it been a while since the last time I made a blog but I figured I would give it one more shot before I totally give up on it.

I know most of you if not all, have seen the reality show CrossAssault. Of course Capcom is pumpin all it can into this game since its last fail at UMvC3. I (being an american) will most likeyly be getting this game, but what I would like to know is what you all think about this game? Is it worth the kroner? (seeing I have no clue how much this is going to cost) What teams will you be maining? What Gems intrest you in the game.

In the meantime, for those of you that are on Playstation 3 and will have or be getting this game I would like to know what your PSN is so that I might add and play against or even aside by.

Of course one thing I am a bit beside myself is that over in US, fighting games and the fighting game community do all that they can to get exposed. But what about Denmark? Besides Zulu Gamebusters (which I feel is some what a joke and it doesn't do you justice) and Trolespiele (which I REALLY LIKE) is there some other "form" that you guys can get exposed. I think it would be really great to get some of the european people that no one has heard about and get  them out in the public. I have met so many great players and its just a shame that they don't go out to those big time or event little events and put themselves out in the gaming world.

Would anyone be interested in??

This is a invitation to all the PSN players out there...(sorry to 360 and Stream players) but I am going to starting holding some matches in whatever tickles the groups fancy. At the moment I have...

Paggle
Madden 12
SF 3 OE
SSF4 AE
UMvC3
MvC3
MvC2
(of course SSF 4 AE 2012. When it comes out for us here)

But it doesn't have to be all fighting game if there s some thing else that would spark intrest OTHER than FPS..(Which I can't stand) then I will look into it!!

I haven't played SSF 4 in a good while but I would like to invite those that would like to play to add my PSN. I will start to record matches and place them up on my youtube page for showing.

the PSN name is in the Sig.

Would love to hear from people and get to know you all better. If you send a friend invite just let me know your from here, or I might not accept.  Futhermore I could be skyping as well, so please by all means PM for that! Later guys!

Whatever happen to beat em ups?

Lets start out with the debute of SSF AE 2012 trailer. I for one am a little excited about this. I am a avid player of the SF franchise. Yet, I have not touched the game since I attented Århus Fight Club a few month back. Appearently there has been many buff and nerfs as far as the eye can see, but why am I not 100 percent taking in? Although Capcom has said that they had balanced out the entire line-up, the players will still find a way to make 1 character out play the others. In there lastest reply in a blog at capcom unity.

There are hidden buffs and nerfs in SSF4 AE v2012. Bison's EX Psycho Crusher often whiffs from full screen ish distance. Headstomp trades a lot in the air.

Its gotten to the point where this game isn't about beating up the other, now it about who has the buffs and the play can make out and take advantage of. It's not just about the match-up and the  player skill like it use to be. Its the same thing in UMvC3 and others. Whatever happen to down and out fighting. Now we analyize the characters and combos so much the game (s) are starting to lose all meaning.

For those of you that are not a custom to the SF games or even UMvC3 stay with you BF or FPS. Try not to get invloved. It will only cause more headaches.

Dengang Tegnefilm var Tegnefil II

First and formost I Want to thank Dummiz for bringing me back dowm memory lane. The last few days I have had nothing but some of the greatest cartoons/Tegnefilm on my mind. Back in the 80's to 90's there were GREAT shows! Nothing like what we have now. And since I will be a father soon, I would want my daughter to know the kind of stuff I watched and what was popular, because by the time she is 5 or 6 there could be something new. Back whenI was growing up here is what I thought was damn good shows!

(By far the best Batman cartoon!)

BTM Quiz Challenge: Are you Game?

Its been one fo those weeks where everything hots the fan. But now it is the weekend I can leave all those troubles behind.

One thing I would like to express before I get to the main of the topic headline above, I know some of you have voiced that your not huge fighter fans and that is totally understandable. But the american in me is uber excited over the new release of Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3. Now I know some peoples thoughts about what Capcom has done but ubless your apart of the developing team that made the game you really should have much to say about anything. But if your not, (saying anything) then you get the highest respect from me. Us as gamers should be able to play the game without complaint. Now I understand if the game is TOTALLY broken. But I am getting away from what I wanted to say. I am loking forward to play the game on Friday when it releases here in Europe.

Now some of you have send me personal messages about possibly doing some sort of quiz on my youtube channel "Building the Meter" after much thinking I have make the choice to do so. But I owe you guys the first crack at it.

Below is a small quiz. Just some random questions I thought about gaming overall. If you a true gamer, answere these WITHOUT the aid of searching it. I pretty much checked myself and I will know if you searched the answers, so lets go on the honor system here.

Good Luck!

What slimy video game has bad guys named Professor Monkey-for-a-Head, Evil the Cat from Heck and Bob, the Killer Goldfish?

What computer classic sent players to Phobos to blast Specters, Lost Souls and Cacodemons?

What hip-hop puppy starred in the first Playstation game to give players credit for just keeping the beat?

What game console sold 514,000 units for Sega during its first two weeks in U.S. stores, in 1999?

What jumping PlayStation marsupial do fans consider the Sony equivalent to Super Mario?

What BanDai cyber-toy gave kids a chance to mate their Pipotchi with a Kabutchi to spawn a babitchi?

What type of computer programs did the Dark Avenger Mutation Engine promise to make more powerful?

What graphic adventure by Rand and Robyn Miller did PC Computing dub the "first New Age game"?

What fruit helps restore a player's health in Donkey Kong 64?

What game system, the first to come equipped with a modern, clogged up phone lines in Europe as many purchasers got online for the first time?

Name the game:
Opposite of right + square root of 16 + rhymes with red

Farewell October!

Well what can I saw about this month? So much has happened in this month alone. Its almost sad that it has to come to an end. But sharing the highlights with you guys make it all work while.

I guess the first thing I must say that have made it worth EVERYTHING, was meeting a fellow gamer DUMMIZ at a local gaming get together in Århus. Its always nice to meet someone that share the same common intrested as you. And just by meeting him I was able to be introduced to a awesome forum known as PSLife. In the beginning it wasn't the warmest of welcomes but everyone else in general was very nice and I am glad I met each and everyone of you. If I haven't met you or you've seen my youtube channels please don't hesitate to drop me a message!

The next thing would be my 31th birthday trip. For those of you that don't know I got to go to London to see the NFL International Series (National Football) It was the MOST coolest thing I could have gone to see. Not only because its american football, but its because of my favorite team that is playing across the pond, The Bucs verus the Bears in a what turned out to be a great game! Dispite the Bucs lost, it was a awesome experience. Mainly because I have never set foot in London other than transfering planes in Heathrow. But that wasn't the end of that...oh no. My wife, whom is very supportive of me and my gaming, offered to buy me Madden 12 (which should comes in the mail Tuesday or Monday) and the famil came over and held a mini party for me since my birthday was on the 24th and I was in London, I even got a gift card to Gamerstop. So with that, I leave a small question to you guys. What game shoudl I get. (Mind you, I am not that huge in to MW3 or BF 1st Persons Shooters so much. So I was looking at something like UMvC3 or SFxTekken) Are any of you getting some of the titles inthe next few weeks?

And last, a week after I came back, I made a blog (basically the last one) about how I felt about making blogs on this site. The amount of feedback and comments I have read just makes thigns so much better. I was almost ready to "throw in the towel". But not only that I was about to end my vlogs on youtube, mainly because no one really gives a crap about people here in Denmark. Most of the comments I get on that are people thinking I am fake and says things like "Denmark?! No one cares" These would be yout typcial trolls that have nothing else better to do than to make other feel like shit. But just yesterday (saturday) I got to chat with Hyggen76 on Skype. We talked about how he came to be a great vlogger, how he feels about the comments, and his numbers of subscribers. A really great guy and I am really glad I got a chance to chat with you and hope we do it again soon. Thanks to all the commenters below! You guys made me feel so much better after a crappy start!

What am I doing wrong?

Well, it time for another blog. I would normally blog about how I feel about gaming or whats making gaming news, but I actaully feel sort of sad not to even make one this week.

You might be wondering why am I sad? Well I have been a member now for a little over a month and I feel like I have stepped on so many toes since joinning. Am I sending the wrong signals by being here? Am I offending people by not writing in danish? I get a bunch of request to add people on PSN but everyone is playing the lastest and new titles. I am not a "COD" or "MW man". I try to play all that I can get my hands on. But its not even the gaming. Not to long along (basically when I frist came here) I was called some inappropate and claimed that I was taking something. Its things like this that make me feel out of place. I consider this a great place to meet people with the same in common, but how can I feel it being fun when I place something in a thread I hardly get a reply back. I feel like I have overstepped my boundary here. I hope that next month things go better.

I can't help but to feel a little bit down when I notice that at the blogs hardly get any replies as well. Just a question for the people that have been here from the start, shoudl I even bother with making these blogs?

Get Serious

OK, so by now, most of you that are fighting game entusiast have already seen the two newest members of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. I myself, being from the United States, is very much into the fighting titels. But after viewin the clownish hype of Phoneix Wright, I sort of have to hang my head in shame. Now it would be fitting to sit here and say that he's a waste of a spot and all the other things I have heard people cry about in the past 24 hours, but i'm not going to? Why? Well, its like a sports game. Take for example if your playing Madden or Fifa, one player doesn't made the game interesting. (Unless your Jordan but even he had his moments) Its the game overall that drives you, its the compedition, that "something" that even when you finshed the game 3 times you just want to keep playing more to get better. That's how I feel about this game. Since 2002 when Marvel vs Capcom 3 begin turning heads, it was always about the game. Never the charaters. (granted some character when WAY to "godlike" and over-powering) Would you play a game of Fifa less if Rommedahl was the only player on the danish national team?

Strategic Moves? You be the judge.

Hello everyone.

Before I begin, I just wanted to say a great THANK YOU to all the warm welcome and friends I have made here the past week. Since joinning I have met nothing but great people (except for one..if you haven't seen it check out "Hej, Ny" in General forum) and awesome advice. I am so glad that I  was informed of this.

Okay, back to the point. In my currently uploaded program, BTM, I happen to find a dane that plays some fighter titles. No the guy has a youtube channel and he's post his matches on there. But the on thing that is sort of odd is his style. He claims that when we first started, he was getting bodied on a stick and then switched to a d-pad. I personally find nothing wrong with either. ( Because I play on a d-pad and train with stick )  Now at somepoint he was into some of the big time sites like Eventhubs, but after they found out that he was bad mouthing the other players (and there is some proof of this on some of his videos in the title) they banned him. But what this is all about is the way he plays. I would like for you to take a look for yourself. What are your thoughts about this sytle of play? Do you blame the people that he's playing against for what they are doing? I would like to hear what you have to say.

Building the Meter Program

Now I know I am new and I don't want to come off like a bragger, but in my spare time I am Youtuber. And one (of my 2) channels is dedicated for gaming. After not being able to find fellow danes playing, I went to the interwebs and made up a program, for gamers, from a gamer. The concept was to draw attention to us over here. Everywhere else has their own, but what about Denmark. Now I know GameTester would be the closes denmark has but I mean something that people will say "Hey I want to be apart of that, or I was involved with that" I mean Mike Ross in the states, Diago in Japan, whats wrong with Lars in Denmark?

Right now it only has one episode, but it will continue to grow with time and of course attention. I have made a Google+, Facebook, and website for it. At the moment there is general talk about up and coming games. And a new concept I thought of called the Gamer Hotseat. Basically where someone is getting blasted with question that they must answer.

I am currently looking for more fellow gamers to get involved with me. For interviews, games or just general questions and answers. If you are interested, live me a message on the Youtube page below.

Thanks for your time.

Ameri-Can?

I truely didn't think that my life would be better when moving to Denmark. I mean what should one expect to think when your living in "the land of free"?  Now, its been four 4 year since the move and I can image my life wihout it!

But this isn't about my lifestyle. No, Its about what I call my skill base. Gaming. Its what we are ALL here for. After missing out on the great thing that PS3 could do fo rme that Nintendo Wii couldn't, I made the change and there is no turning back now. I can say that it has been hard the last few months finding people in common. But it appears that I have found it in this forum.

When I was in the states it was eay to play with/agaisnt anyone at anytime. But with Denmark, its a different story. I have come to a land where the normal is soccer. I am not a fan of it and it mad me sad when I would be playing something like Madden and everyone else was playing Fifa. I felt out of place. Like a noob. (as the kids would say now a days) But after being informed by a mod about this site (thanks again) I feel like I have a second family.

For those off you that are wondering, I love prety much all types of games. I am not the great FPS player but I try when I can. I am your typical fighter, RGP, action tyoe player. But if there is a game that I haven't tried I am willing to give it a shot. I hope that you will come to accept me and we become more than firends in a online site. More like family. I know that this group speaks danish and I would love to write this in danish so that you all can understand, but I am very bad when it comes to the danish grammar at writing. Although, I can speak danish quite well.

I can be found on MSN, Facebook, Youtube, and PSN. I welcome you to get to know me. =)
